Indian Bison (Gaur)
The Indian Bison, locally known as Gaur, is the largest wild bovine in Asia. With its muscular frame and calm demeanor, this majestic creature often moves in herds across open meadows and forest clearings. A true icon of Gomarda’s wildlife heritage.
Leopard
The Leopard of Gomarda is a symbol of stealth and grace. Often found resting on tree branches or stalking silently

Deer
Species From the swift Spotted Deer to the regal Sambar, Gomarda’s forests echo with the gentle rustle of deer herds

Nilgai (Blue Bull)
The Nilgai, or Blue Bull, is India’s largest antelope. Its distinctive bluish coat and elegant movements make it a favorite
subject for wildlife photographers visiting the sanctuary.
Sambar Deer
The Sambar, with its large antlers and deep resonant call, is often spotted near water bodies. It plays a crucial role in the ecosystem as both prey and indicator of a healthy forest environment.
Wild Boar
The Wild Boar, known locally as Kotri, roams freely in dense vegetation. These strong and adaptable animals contribute to the forest’s regeneration by aerating soil and dispersing seeds.
Chousingha (Four-Horned Antelope)
